Would anyone like to hear my random spoiler theory?
I think in the beginning of the movie (which actually follows the end of the movie) Aunt Ruth is dead. So are Betty and Camilla. Aunt Ruth died first - she's leaving the apartment when Camilla gets there (she died second, after Diane killed her) - and "betty" gets there after Diane kills herself at the end, which is actually the beginning. (Check out the way the two old people chase Diane to her death...and then escort her off the plane.) The beginning of the movie is both characters beginning to realize that they died, and how...hence the Silencio scene.
Just my random theory - let me know what you all think.

Aunt???
Watched the movie twice last night. Pulled me in. Your comments helped me figure it out, especially the "real sequence.
The aunt???. Her appearance at the end of the movie doesn't confused me. If she was gone in the "dream" and we are still watching the dream, where did she come from? If she is dead, explained at the dinner party, I don't get that either. It is a loose end I can't figure out.
Also, cowboy said Adam would see him once if good and twice if bad. I assumed that DL was giving clue to viewers, and I noticed we saw him two more times in the movie. I don't pretend to make sense of it.
One more thing, the Silencio lady at the end of the movie is in the balcony while Betty and Rita are watching, like an observer. I don't get her part either.
Great movie with haunting images.
