This movie was just about showing naked dudeds showering. There was no other point to this movie.I could not believe the number of penises shown in this movie- Couldnt the pornographer I mean director have shot some of the shower cenes above the waist? If you want to make a movie, make a movie. If you want to show a bunch of jiggling weiners in the shower, then make pornography.

I really enjoyed this movie, too! The stiltedness of it is very purposeful (and Parisian) and the portrayal of the characters and their emotions is actually very true to life, especially the mental turmoil of Paul Thabor.

Grande Ecole is a gorgeous movie and I think speaks to something deep inside each of us--much deeper than mere sex. It speaks to sexuality, sure, but also to the need to be loved, the complexity of male-male friendships, self-discovery, naivete, and a host of other issues. It touches on a lot that never gets any film time and does so in a fresh and unabashed manner. There is a lot of sex that takes place, but it's filmed in an incredibly artful way that elevates it far above the pornographic level. It's also good to remember that French society doesn't look down on sexuality like American society does.

It's definitely worth a watch. The French the characters speak is really beautiful, if nothing else!
