I was on vacation in Chicago two years ago and caught this film late on accident. I had heard of Shirley Chisholm growning up in my household but i had never seen this movie before we rented it in our room. I was amazed at watching her in action in this film, she had such a voice that commanded the attention from everyone around to listen without prejudice. I have not since seen a film (or politician) this well produced in a long time. It was shortly after seeing this movie that she passed away, leaving a legacy that has yet to be preceeded. The parts in the movie that she interacts with George Wallace were some of the best parts of the film. I also loved how they had so much live footage of her speakings. It almost seemed like she was everywhere all the time.
I applaud her for having the courage and ability to have set out to make history, not only for black people and people of color everywhere, but also for humanity.
    What a GREAT woman!
