Lived in this hick town my whole life. Was in the movie cause the only thing to do when your a teen was go to the games of friday nights. Usually didn't even watch the games, just hung out in the stands with my friends.

I could tell you more stuff about what it was like growing up here, and going to school. Like the great difference between the kids in sports & not in sports. Not just socially. The teachers treat them different too. About how this whole town is messed up. Its crazy.

I agree with your statments about how messed up it all is. I don't agree with you saying 'a rare non football fan.' You musta only been talking to the older people & the cheerleaders & jocks. Ya, you dress up in the orange & black on fridays in School, if you don't, someone else will usually dress you up somehow. Ya, you go to the games cause theres nothin else to do. You might even cheer because one of your friends is out there. But it dosn't mean that your a fan & approve of all this crazyness. I havn't been to a game since the last season that I was a student there. I havn't supported anything the School has done & I won't even step foot there ever again until June this year for my lil bros. graduation. After that, probley never again. None of my friends go to the games still or anything. Noone my age even cares anymore. It's just the older people, our parents age & stuff. They get interested in it again for some reason. Be it boredom, or rembering their H.S. days, or their kids or friends kids playing or something. Who knows.

IDK, I have so much to say about this town, my friends do to, but we've all said it before, we've all tired to change it before, but nothing changes.

Whoever told you that you could visit this town years from the movie being made & it'll still be the same is right. Except I think my brother said the games are on Sat. now. But nothing else has really changed. Like signigigantly in the way of the town.
