I think the movie is a simple story of a girl that wanted to become a actress. She is lead to hollywood through the talent contest, she falls in love with another girl, neighbour. She gets over whelmed by life, not becomeing a successful actress, her girl friend leaves her and she then kills herself. What you see in the movie is a mix of her fantansy world and her Real life as she is dying.
