I've only just watched this movie and came online to see if I could find an explanation for the ending, but nothing yet! Whether anyone is still reading these like Jess says is another matter though!

As for what I've read here there's one thing in the movie I'm pretty sure about but no one else here seems to have seen the same thing:

The body in the tank ISN'T her father. It's the missing body parts to all the other victims sewn together. Firstly there are huge scars at the points of amputation (shoulders and hips) and secondly Ho says to Cho that the killer only needs a head from the next victim, which is what's missing from the body. WHY the body parts were being put together and kept I have no idea though.

As for the boy at the beginning, he's important because he saw what Su Yeon was doing in the room where the killings take place. It shows Cho working out what happened when he sees her with the button from the kids jacket in the video, then goes back to the room to find the photo. The kid sees her and she grapples with him at the window then he falls to his death. As for the significance of the photo I don't know either.

I disagree that there was a man involved in the killings. It seemed to me that Ho's killer was Seung Min as I thought the hands and wrists shown when he gets stabbed in the neck look small and feminine. Frankly up until the ending it seemed pretty reasonably that Seung Min was the killer, and why... until she tries to kill Su Yeon, which makes no sense, even with the final twist.

As far as the ending goes... I can understand why Su Yeon could be the killer, but then why Seung Min pours blood all over her bathroom then tries to kill Su Yeon makes no sense to me. It's almost as though they shot two alternate endings, one where Su Yeon is the killer and one where Seung Min is the killer... but they put them both in the film!

I enjoyed it, but it doesn't make any sense.

    Re: HUH?!?!??!??!??!?!??!

I don't know if anyone is goin to continue posting their thoeries.. cos I seem to be 2 yrs late.

but anyways, I think that there are 3 killers. one of them is definitely a guy and the other 2 is Su Yeon and Seung Min. they one who killed the detective is a guy, because he wore those men boots and had big body and big hands. I think that he is also in Su-Yeon's house because the footprints left behind were big.

and I seriously and honestly think that Su Yeon is not sane, since she is full of hatred for her father who raped her. she is someone who is capable of taking revenge on people, but I think that Seung Min is the one who helps to chop up the body.

and there was once when the detective chased a car at the parking lot. he could have taken down the car plate number instead of chasing after it.

hmm.. i think i have to watch it again.
