As a person who has delt with a mental illness for many yesars how. ( back flash on history , i have been depressed since i was about 8, tried to kill myself numerous times and was hospitalized) i find that this movie is very insight ful to how medications react with someones idea of reality, i had ratehr bad complications with my medication and recently being offof them has really cleared up my mind to how selfish i have been, by continual worry about myself has done absolutly nothing for me alot like largeman. i think he clearly defines that mental illness is a problem, but that alot of people are being handed out medication as a quick fix to a problem that doesn't really exsist

Re: shallow critique of psychiatry
what? did you not see the movie? the implication is that he never needed the drugs in the first place. you sound like a person who sees everything as a personal attack.
