The group of young men who made 'September Tapes' risked great danger to make this movie. Wali, the Muslim young man who spoke Farsi was born in Afghanistan and had family who had been members of the Northern Alliance. Access to the heroes of this movement are featured in the movie, eg. Baba Jon, the Godfather of Kabul,etc.The 'Making of the Movie' segment that follows the movie is both insightful and well presented. I feel that this is a noble attempt to explore and present a culture markedly different from middle America.

Funding ??
So would someone please tell me why during this whole film I have just watched all I could think about was "what a great CIA funded project" how many middleage americans think the same with little or no knowledge of the country or people, with only desires to hurt or kill in return in a sad revenge cycle that they can morally justify. If we realy wanted to know more about the conflict in Afganistan then we should maybe look at how they got started and with whos money and training!..sorry to be negative but money better spent doing a real documentary on the region and America's foreign policy in that region.
