I don't know if anyone is goin to continue posting their thoeries.. cos I seem to be 2 yrs late.

but anyways, I think that there are 3 killers. one of them is definitely a guy and the other 2 is Su Yeon and Seung Min. they one who killed the detective is a guy, because he wore those men boots and had big body and big hands. I think that he is also in Su-Yeon's house because the footprints left behind were big.

and I seriously and honestly think that Su Yeon is not sane, since she is full of hatred for her father who raped her. she is someone who is capable of taking revenge on people, but I think that Seung Min is the one who helps to chop up the body.

and there was once when the detective chased a car at the parking lot. he could have taken down the car plate number instead of chasing after it.

hmm.. i think i have to watch it again.

    Re: HUH?!?!??!??!??!?!??!

Just finished watching movie in Korean, I believe it was unedited... In any event, from what I can gather, (and as most people on this board have said) the killers are Su Yeon and Seung Min (her friend). I'm not sure where this lesbian lover notion has stemmed from... I did consider it, but there is really nothing to indicate that they were lovers. Anyway, to the murders. They never really explain the reason behind why, but it seems likely that Su Yeon lied about leaving her ex-lovers, and in turn, they all left her (with the exception of the stalker guy, I think the stalking was the reason for his subsequent demise). That's why she didn't kill Detective Chae. In the end, she thanks him for not leaving her. For remaining. Everyone else betrayed her... they left her.

The reason she killed her father is pretty obvious. He raped her when she was a child, and it continued on until adulthood. The body floating in the tank in her living room at the end of the movie is her father's. The head found in the freezer of apartment 702 was her father's. Note how the floating body had no head. Same person. The body DEFINTELY had male genitals.

Staying with the theme of her home and that painting they keep showing. That is certainly her face on the body of the woman floating, drowning in the water. Someone suggested it was like Ophelia's death from Hamlet, I think that's a pretty keen observation. I'm inclined to agree, and I think that is further evidence of her madness. This also speaks to her telling the guy sitting next to her on the plane that she's never been to Paris. Just look at the gleam in her eye... that is not the look of a sane person. It just appears like she's excited about getting a fresh start, and this dude better be concerned, because if they start a relationship and he leaves her, he'll probably end up dead, too.

The one part I still can't reconcile is why Seung Min was planning to kill So Yeon. It seems like So Yeon knew Seung Min was going to try to kill her, which is why she called Chae and told him they were meeting at Tower Records. I suppose possible theories are that she didn't want to die... or she thought that So Yeon would want to kill herself anyway... it just doesn't make much sense.

Despite being a pretty horrific movie, it was quite impressive. Apart from the bizzare ending, and the lack of definite resolve, it was very creative... Did a great job of keeping the audience believing that it could be this guy, or that guy, or this girl or that girl throughout.

    My two+ cents. :)
