The first time I saw LEMORA I felt as though I stumbled upon a fascinating adolescent nightmare. The film works as well as it does due mainly to the presence of major cult icon Cheryl Rainbeaux Smith. Smith was only 16 when she made LEMORA and already possessed a kind of angelic beauty mixed with ripening sexuality-she is unforgettable as Lila Lee. Unfortunately personal, health and drug problems seem to have sidetracked her career however she contributed many worthy performances for cult/B-movie fans to enjoy. Does anyone know what has happened to her?LEMORA is available from Moore Video and Midnight Video sells a version with superior picture quality.
