Just for posterity, schizophrenia is NOT, repeat NOT the same thing as Multiple Personality Disorder. 'Hope I didn't hurt your fragile little brain' is rather condescending considering your misinformation.

    Re: Big Plot Hole

This film would have been better if it had more story line to it. It needed at least two more larger characters in order to make it more realistic. Here's why:

    1. Most szichophrenic people actually do experience being in two places at one time. Well, the real truth is that in the mind of the sick person that person doesn't experience those two places ... but each separate personality experiences different events in the same time frame of the actual person. Hope I'm not hurting your fragile mind here. So the lesbian killer called the police and stole a car to chase after herself and fight with her other self. Maybe in real time she may have called the police on her other self and then run off in the truck. Sick folks make shit up as they go. How the heck are we supposed to know all of this unless it is made visual to us?

But! What would really add a twist to this timeless storyline of schizoid gone loonier is when the killer has more than two personalities, kinda like in the film 'Identity' with John Cusack.

    2. FOr this alone you would need a sort of doctor character like in 'Silence of the Lambs'. Some parts of the movie 'Raising Cane' were decent since the murders in that schiz slasher flick are key to revealing the male/female murderer. In the movie 'From Hell' with Johnny Depp there are several counselors of varying authority to depict whodunnit and the nearby motives.

All in all I thought 'Hight Tension' was original, there are some plot twists. Both female actresses did convincing characters; Mary and Alex. But the tension could have really been worked better with more of a story plot and some other twists.

Another example of strange filming from this movie is that more than three fourths of the way through the film we are introduced to some new characters; the policeman and homocide detective. I don't like to be introduced to new characters that far into the film unless I'm watching Law and Order on the weekends.

Again I thought the szich story line was convincing enough if only we had more story and/or characters to back it up and make it scarier. It was a fun and at least some of the time suspenseful, and the action violence was original with the wooden fence bat and the hacker electric saw and realistic blood and guts.
