Subject: Avoidable War

The media fooled me, and most Americans, from August â92 all the way to March â99, the onset of the bombing of my old country. I had actually disavowed my erstwhile Serb countrymen as genocidal troglodytes. Then, at last, I started to read, and unfortunately for detractors of "Avoidable War," Iâve acquired a very sound knowledge of what really went on in Yugoslavia. It is very much what Avoidable War depicts, and nothing like what, say, Christiana Amanpour, or yourself, would like us to believe, not to mention her husband, James Rubin. That the Serbs had every historical justification to attempt to secede from Croatia and Bosnia is beyond doubt; that an Albanian insurrection against the Yugoslav government had been taking place in Kosovo since the 1970âs is also beyond doubt. What the Serbs finally did was what the Israelis did in Lebanon. Remember?
